2012 in retrospect

2012 in retrospect

2012 has been an intense but amazing year for me.

It started with with my resolve to take out more time for myself, a time to be Me, a time to be full-mode creative, now that my little girl has started going to school.  And  so I started painting again and rediscovering myself.

Before I had always worked with oils but I started to experiement with acrylics now. And it took some time to get used to the new working medium. Next I started my blog to share my creative journey with everyone. Though I was not very comfortable/fluent with putting my thoughts on paper, but i hope to get better with time. It was also the year I got familiar with the procedure of making prints from one’s artwork and opened my online shop. I cleared my long overdue two german language tests and concluding the year with my first exhibition :).

Indeed it was an intense year for me but  amazing too in every sense. It was meant to be just one small step but looking back I’ve accomplished so much in the last 12 months.

I am really grateful to all my friends and family for supporting me and to this universe for putting all these wonderful opportunities in my way and giving me the courage to face them.

I hope you all also had a good year. I haven’t yet decided on my Word for this year, which sets the tone for the year (You can see my word for 2012 here). What about you? Do you chose a word or make some resolutions? How do you set your intentions? Would love to hear from you.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy 2013
